How did we come up with the name Rose's Cross???
This is one of the popular questions we hear every where we go....along with.... Hey! are you guys single? Do you play here often?....and of course - What's your sign big fella??
Well, the story is quite simple.....
When we started this band, our rehearsals took place in the basement of our lead guitarists home - Doc Rock - Guy Lee. The only time we could all get together and rehearse was 8:30 PM til 11:30 PM on Wednesday AND....8:00AM til 11:30 AM on SUNDAY morning. We were all concerned of course, for Guys' wife and family - and when we asked Guy - "Are you sure your wife is okay with us practicing these hours?" Guy calmly responded, "Well thats' the Cross she'll have to bear." The name of Guy Lees' wife ???....of course!!....Rose.

Rose's Cross is primarily a cover band focused on the classic rock 'n roll and punk of the 1980's and 1970's. But we have also covered songs from earlier and later eras. Our set list includes multiple covers of: The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, David Bowie, The Ramones. All of our interpretations are bent toward ensuring that our audience receives a positive charge from our music. That's why so many of our fans can out to see us time and again...to rock out, dance, and have fun!
Over the last couple of years, Rose's Cross has dabbled into writing and performing original music. This would not have been possible without the dedication and creative genius of Steve Van Scott. All of our original music, including those playing on this website, were written and composed by Steve. We are all indebted to Steve for the countless hours he's spent writing insightful lyrics, crafting the edgy music to match, and getting it all on demo tapes so he can lead us in what we do best...pop in the studio and start rockin'.
